This month, May we received a heartfelt inquiry from a volunteer at the Toledo Zoo regarding the possibility of Bonita Bead Boutique creating a pendant to celebrate Emerson, the cherished Galapagos tortoise who had been a beloved resident for over 80 years.
The caller expressed deep sorrow, highlighting that the community was eager to pay tribute to Emerson, much like how Bonita Bead Boutique honored Lucas after his passing in April 2021. Rather than launching a new campaign, Anita chose to design a keychain inspired by this touching request. As a result, we will accept orders for this charm exclusively upon request.
This charm can be attached to a chain, zipper pull, bag, and more. Bonita Bead Boutique will provide either a heart-shaped or round silver bezel, embellished with a vintage mosaic shell bead and a Botswana agate round gemstone. The price is $24, and we will donate 20% of the proceeds from this special promotion to the Toledo Zoo.
