Peanut & Knucklehead
PhD Author Theresa Flores Geary, a former clinical psychologist, has skillfully used bead therapy for soothing elderly and other clients from Native American and other communities in Arizona and New Mexico. She left a busy academic career and demanding practice for the serenity and artistry of beading. She has taught many classes in beading and is a first-rate artisan. She has published two books on beading with Sterling, Creative Native American Beading and Native American Beadwork, and her works have appeared in beading magazines. Theresa earned her doctorate from Southern Illinois University. Theresa lived for many years in Tucson, enduring the savage desert heat, and regularly attended its annual international Gem Show in February. She now resides with her computer-wizard husband Robert, two cats, and two dogs in the cool high plains at the base of the Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico in a small town between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Her daughter Anna is a writer and reviewer in Chicago, and her son Jonny is a young filmaker in Los Angeles whose latest short premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2007. She also has two step-sons, one in Arizona, and another in Florida. website: www.beadbible.com
